Turtle Talk Scores Big

Tuning into episode 1 of Turtle Talk was exciting and a great podcast to watch! Whether you’re a college student, Terp Alumni, or just an avid sports fan, hearing Sarah Myer’s perspective on the sport was like no other! Between her sorority, being a full-time student, and balancing being an athlete, Sarah’s journey was beyond impressive and the hosts did a great job of finding out some great insight into her journey! As a student myself, it’s pretty hard to imagine that she was able to balance it all - and so successfully I may add! It was also very interesting to hear Sarah’s story on the transfer portal and what it’s like from an athlete's point of view to have to leave a team and begin your journey at another school while still maintaining and appreciating the relationships you built at the school you started at. Finally, I loved the hosts’ question at the end about remaining connected to the teams you love post-grad. Although this conversation was more centered around Sarah’s journey, I am a graduating senior this year and plan to stay involved and follow our Terps teams throughout all of their future games! The podcast itself was engaging, the time flew by listening to it, and I’m excited to continue following this podcast as more guests come on! What's so different about Turtle Talk in my opinion is the hosts’ ability to bring in so many diverse guests in order to gain such a wide variety of perspectives for the show! Throughout the upcoming episodes, I know they plan on having on Terrapin Club President, Scott Weitz, so I can’t wait to learn more about the club, and alumni interactions, and hear his perspective as well since he used to be a Terp :) Although it all relates back to UMD and the Terps Women’s Basketball team, every episode is genuinely so different and viewers learn so much every time they tune in, so I can’t wait to hear what's next!!
